Released almost twenty years ago, I've just secured the rights and regained control of my second artist album, 'Which Way Is Up, ' originally released on One Little Indian Records in 2004. With musical influences spanning punk rock (check the Sex Pistols sample on 'House Freak') to mid-tempo R 'n' B ('Deeper Down inside'), the album perfectly reflects my musical tastes, which span so many genres. Of course, House Music will always be the foundation for what I produce, but who says you can't mix it up a bit...Looking back, it's quite a confrontational album, jumping from one style to another with little regard for the listener. I didn't know it at the time, but I was completely burned out with production and trying to stay afloat financially, having lost a small fortune building a recording studio and generally trying to survive. Shortly after the release, with disappointing sales and a lack of desire to continue making dance music, i formed a fierce blues-punk band, Stash. I spent the next couple of years in the back of a white van doing gigs with Stash all over London, before quitting the band and completely returning from music for about ten years...

Which Way Is Up? I really couldn't tell you! :)
